PROVERBS 13:10

Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advise.

PROVERBS 16:5

The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.

PROVERBS 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

GALATIANS 6:4

Each one should test his own actions.  Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load.

PHILIPPIANS 2:3- 4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

PROVERBS 8:12-13

"I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

1 JOHN 2:16
